All designs come screen printed on the fabric described.  Complete instructions are included as well as any special parts such as beads.  Threads are not included.  Each package contains a list of required threads.  Most threads used in the models are EdMar Brazilian embroidery threads.  I do not sell threads, but you will find sources in the resource links.

Summer Bouquet - #2628

This beginner/intermediate Brazilian embroidery design comes with a 6 page basic stitch instruction booklet as well as design instructions.  The basic Brazilian embroidery stitches are all included in this piece which fits a 5" x 7" mat or frame.  Choose white, off white or linen colored poly-rayon linen-look fabric background.

  Pine Boughs and Holly - #2631

Create a lovely Brazilian embroidery Christmas bell pull or wall hanging that fits 12 cm (about 4˝") hardware. The pine cone is padded and stitched in up-down cast-on loops, and the holly berries are covered pony beads.  The satin stitched ribbon is edged with a traveling cast-on stitch and the pine boughs are layers of straight stitches.  Instructions for making the twisted cord and tassel are also included.  This design comes on off white poly-rayon linen-look fabric.  Instructions, screen printed fabric, padding and beads are included.

Cast-on Flowers and Lace - #2632

An advanced Brazilian embroidery and pulled thread project. This beautiful floral spray is worked on 25 count linen with a sampler of four pulled thread stitches for the background.  Top off this lovely lace background with flowers using several variations of the cast-on buttonhole stitch.  Finished size: 5" circle.

Floral Fantasy - #2633

This advanced Brazilian embroidery project is stitched on raw silk fabric.  It fits 12 cm (about 4˝") bell pull hardware or could be framed.  Double cast-on flowers, raffia roses, and the original, new quad drizzle flowers combine to challenge the stitcher.  Directions for creating raffia thread are included, as well as instructions for the twisted cord edging and tassel.

Here is another advanced Brazilian embroidery and pulled thread project. This beautiful floral spray is worked on 25 count linen with a sampler of four pulled thread stitches for the background.  Top off this lovely lace background with flowers using several variations of the cast-on buttonhole stitch, drizzle and detached buttonhole stitch.  Finished size: 5" circle.

Beads and Buds - #2637

This little 3" x 5" design worked on raw silk incorporates several different techniques for adding beads to Brazilian embroidery.  Beads, printed design and instructions are included.  Threads and a needle threader required.

 Ruffled Pansies - #2639

This piece is for the intermediate or advanced Brazilian embroiderer.  It is worked on 25 count evenweave linen and the background is embellished with rows of four-sided stitch.  This is a simple pulled thread technique.  The pansies are all done in Iris weight thread with three colors on each flower using cast-on buttonhole and detached buttonhole stitches.  The new twist is a very ruffled edge created in a little different way.  Threads are not included. Fits a 3" x 5" frame or mat.

Poinsettia Ball - 2645

An intermediate/advanced Brazilian embroidery Christmas ornament that covers a 3" Styrofoam ball. The four poinsettias are stitched using a twisted double cast-on stitch.  Centers are beads with colonial knots in the centers.  Plaid fabric, pattern, instructions, beads and ribbon are included.  Threads and Styrofoam ball are needed.

Heart and Flowers - 2648

This floral heart is worked on 25 count even-weave linen fabric.  First the background texture is created using two pulled thread stitches.  Then the heart vine and Brazilian embroidery flowers are added.  The design fits a 5" x 7" mat or frame.  The design printed on 25 count linen, lining fabric, instructions, and a variety of pink beads are included.

Floral on Linen - 2651

This advanced piece is worked on 25 count ivory linen.  First the background is worked with a pulled thread pattern, then a spray of Brazilian embroidery flowers is added. There are detached and attached needle-woven petals, and some double cast-on bullion combination stitches used.  The design fits a 5" x 7" mat or frame.

Alpine Meadow - 2653

Create a Northwest alpine meadow using simple basic stitches.  All the flowers can be found at Mt Rainier in late summer.  Straight, stem, bullion and cast-on stitches are used.  The design fits 5" x 7" mat or frame and is printed on off-white linen look fabric.

This colorful intermediate level piece is made with lots of basic stitches; stem, colonial knot, bullion, lazy daisy, straight, and cast-on stitches. Then it is finished off with one challenging flower created with knotted detached buttonhole stitches worked into a row of loose cast-on stitches.  The piece is printed on off white or off white linen-look fabric and fits a 5" x 7" mat or frame.

 St John's Wort - 2656

St. John's Wort is the "flower of the year" in BDEIG in 2010 year.  This one is worked in padded buttonhole stitch for the petals.  The centers use cast-on and drizzle stitches in a different way, and then filled with "fluff" created with turkey work and a little paint.  This piece is printed on white linen look fabric.  Fits a 5" x 7" mat or frame.

Stars and Lace- 2657

An advanced pulled thread on linen and Brazilian embroidery project.  This little piece includes hemstitching and a pulled thread pattern stitched on the 25 count linen background fabric.  This is topped with star flowers which combine double cast-ons with double bullions to make pointed petals.  The big flowers in the center use a double knotted buttonhole stitch as the final row of detached buttonhole on each petal creating a full lacy look.  Fits a 5" circle mat or frame.

Swirls and Flowers - 2658

A beginner level project, but with a new stitch for Brazilian embroiderers.  The swirls are made with a double knotted stitch, known to the embroiderers of the Mediterranean area for centuries and used in their lace work and lace flowers. The flowers use bullions, cast-ons and lazy daisy bullions. Fits a 5" x 7" mat or frame.

Dahlia Bouquet - 2660

These very dimensional dahlias are made using the Mediterranean double knotted stitch.  It creates a more stable dimensional petal than the detached buttonhole stitch normally used in Brazilian embroidery.  Give this advanced project a try and you will have a new stitch to use in many other places.  Fits a 5" x 7" mat or frame.

Dogwood Wreath - 2663

Create a delicate wreath of dogwood and forget-me-nots while learning to control bullions and improve your satin stitch work.  The forget-me-nots, leaves, and dogwood flower edges are all worked in bullion stitch, while the flower petals are worked in padded satin stitch.  This piece fits a 5" x 7" mat or frame.

Garden Delights - 2664

Worked on 25 count evenweave  linen, this floral combines 2 pulled thread stitches in the background with various Brazilian and other dimensional stitches for the floral bouquet.  The large flower is worked in the Mediterranean double knotted stitch. Upper hanging flowers use a quad drizzle technique. The star flowers near the bottom are worked in a combination double cast-on-double bullion stitch.  Have fun learning many new stitches and techniques in this piece which fits a 5" x 7" mat or frame.

These lovely begonias are nestled on a bed of large padded leaves.  Learn a new way to edge cast-on stitches to create petals with contrasting edges.  The edges are created with the double knotted Mediterranean stitch which gives much more definition that just a row of detached buttonhole stitches.  This piece also fits a 5" x 7" mat or frame.

Water Lily - 2668

This water lily floats on a pond beside some reeds stitched on beautiful moiré faille fabric.  Learn to control the direction of double drizzle stitches as you work the flower in double cast-on and double drizzle stitches.  Lily pad leaves are simple blanket stitches and the reeds are stem stitch.  This easy piece fits a 5" x 7" mat or frame.

Tie Up a Bouquet - 2669

With a pretty bow made with a plaited braid stitch, tie up a bouquet of flowers. An advanced level piece not only because of the plaited braid stitch but also because the flowers use a variety of advanced stitches including the Mediterranean knotted stitch to edge the pale pink roses.  This piece fits a 5" x 7" mat or frame.
