Dimensional Embroidery has been my passion for many years. I have used many techniques to achieve dimension in my needlework.  Stumpwork, which incorporates separate wired design elements to create the dimension, is one of my favorites.  I also use wired edges on needlelace to create dimensional elements.  The many stitches of Brazilian embroidery are used, as well as fused, painted and shaped silk flowers.  Several of my designs are worked on hand-dyed silk backgrounds, and some are stitched on photo printed background fabrics.   I have been designing and teaching dimensional embroidery for over 20 years.  I've been an active member of the Needle Arts Guild of Puget Sound for over 30 years, the Brazilian Dimensional Embroidery International Guild, Inc. since it's inception in 1992, as well as the International Old Lacers, Inc., and Lacemakers of Puget Sound. 

I strive to share the many dimensional embroidery techniques and designs I've learned and created with others in the form of books, designs, and classes. If you have a group that would be interested in classes, please contact me.
